Have I mentioned how brilliant Robert Frost is? Well, he is.

guess who i met today? no, not robert frost. but someone pretty cool. i knew he was a friend of my parents, but i never thought i would meet him. he's rather elusive. well, today was my lucky day. my mom was going to bring me and ed out for dinner after we dropped off some binka ubi [some sort of tapioca thing.] she made for her friend.

we pulled up to a nice house and my mom told me to drop it off while she waited in the car because she wanted to avoid getting engaged in chit-chat. her friend soon came out and following her in half-naked glory was her husband. i looked at him in awe - didn't he look familiar - hadn't i seen him in the papers - HE WAS LI HAN SHIH. and then he talked to me and asked me about school fund-rising but all i did was speak disjointedly and act like a halfwit while saying some inaudible things about me buying concert tickets. he said he was recently made to donate 150 to NYPS [kids study there] and he's working on a piece on the injustice of it all - so he wanted to collect some information.

HOW COOL IS THAT. HE TALKED TO ME ABOUT HIS PIECE.

i know i sound like a groupie. for those of you who don't know, li han shih is a freelance journalist that writes for Today. He used to work full time for Business Times and even won Journalist of the Year award. He doesn't give a damn what people say and writes the most outrageous things about anything, even the government.

basically, he's downright cool. and i had to act like a complete idiot. oh well.
